Frequently Asked Questions

Am I too old to do MAX Workouts?

I’m not a medical doctor, so I can’t give you a diagnosis or prognosis for any physical conditions or injuries that you may have. You should always seek out a medical professional and get their expert advice regarding your condition or injury to determine if MAX Workouts is right for you.

There’s no such thing as being too old!  The MAX Workouts program is based on the principle that fitness is based on intensity rather then duration (quality over quantity).  So, being able to give your best effort is the key to getting the most out of the program.

The great thing about intensity is that it can be increased or decreased based on your current fitness level.  Even though your 100% effort may not be the same as someone else’s, the positive effects are the same.  That means by doing the program to the best of your abilities, you’ll be able to burn more fat and increase your fitness level - no matter your age.

There are people in their 70’s and 80’s who have done the program.  The most important thing to keep in mind is that you should scale the program according to your own fitness level.  Everything in the program is scalable from the exercises, load, rest intervals and speed…it can all be adjusted to fit your abilities so you can do the program at your own pace and I explain how in the book.
